The areas of Lamezia Terme and Contursi Terme were chosen within the framework of the VIGOR project, started in 2011. The main goals of the project were define the different chemical water families and identify the water-rock interaction processes, study the relationships between fluid circulation and tectonic faults and evaluate the geothermal potential of the area.
