GNGTS 2013 - Atti del 32° Convegno Nazionale

Tests. Some preliminary tests of application of the outlined methodology were carried out on ambient noise recordings acquired in a study area located in the municipality of Carama- nico Terme (Abruzzi region - central Italy). Here an experiment of long term accelerometer monitoring of landslide prone slopes is ongoing to investigate the characteristics of slope dyna- mic response to seismic shaking under different topographic and lithologic site conditions (Del Gaudio and Wasowski, 2007, 2011). Data accumulated in this study area offer the opportunity of validating the outcome of ambient noise analyses aimed at determining site response pro- perties. In previous studies the HVNR technique was applied here to ambient noise recordings acquired at the sites of the accelerometer stations, repeating measurements at different times to check result stability (Del Gaudio et al. , 2008, 2013). Fig. 1 – Comparison between HVNR (top) and HVIP (bottom) values of noise recordings carried out at the sites CAR2 (left) and CAR5 (right) in 2007: both kinds of H/V ratios are represented as function of azimuth and frequency (in Hz). 229 GNGTS 2013 S essione 2.2
