GNGTS 2014 S essione 2.1 31 Fig. 2 – Correlation plots between earthquakes and electron bursts when earthquake epicentres were projected at 1300 – 1500 – 1700 – 1900 – 2100 – 2300 – 2500 – 2700 – 2900 – 3100 km, the 2 – 3 hour peak appears for earthquake projection altitudes of about 1500 km and disappears above 3100 km. The correlation is most significant near 2500 km, where the peak value overcomes the average correlation of about 5 standard deviations.
