GNGTS 2014 - Atti del 33° Convegno Nazionale
GNGTS 2014 S essione 2.1 97 Conclusions. Even if very preliminary (the project started only few months ago and the amount of analysed data do not allow to give whatever firm conclusion) these results appear at list to encourage the change of paradigm contained in the objectives of the new DPC-INGV-S3 project. In fact, it seems that the content of information made available by RST analysis on TIR data is much bigger and better exploitable in a renewed framework of objective not purely limited to the search for earthquake precursor. Moreover the unique added value that only satellite observations can offer (long-term systematic observations with synoptic view made available at the global scale practically at no cost for the users also for the next decades) appears strongly enhanced in the new perspective that DPC-INGV-S3 project opened for its 2 nd year of activities.
