GNGTS 2016 S essione 2.1 307 Fig. 1 – Results obtained for a 712-years return period from the 4 branches of the considered logic tree. Site effects analysis . The seismicmotion expected at the bedrock level from the PSHAstudies presented in the previous section was, then, propagated to the surface (i.e. the foundation level of the Kribi harbour infrastructures) through a site-specific analysis. In order to characterize the mechanical and geophysical properties of the cover, we first collected pre-existent geological/ geotechnical data. To get typical shear wave velocity (Vs) profiles along the harbour coastline, Fig. 2 – On the left: typical Vs profiles of the investigated area. The black profile is more suitable to describe the sites on non outcropping (> 5 m cover) quartzite while the red profile is more suitable to describe the sites on gneiss/ syenite. On the right: reference stratigraphic models of the Kribi Port area.
