GNGTS 2017 - 36° Convegno Nazionale

GNGTS 2017 S essione 2.1 283 popular, although the selection of branch models and weights is still treated rather informally. We briefly describe the preliminary selection and ranking of the ground motion models for the new Italian hazard map. We describe the procedure for the following IMs: PGA, PGV and acceleration spectral ordinates (SA). Methods to select and rank the GMPEs. The increasing amount of strong-motion records that are now available at the Italian accelerometric archive (http://itaca.mi.ingv.it ) and the Engineering strong-motion database (http://esm.mi.ingv.it) allow us to rank a set of GMPEs developed at global and regional scales for different tectonic environments in the Italian peninsula. The pre-selection of GMPEs strongly depends on the requirements of the MPS16 project, considering the different tectonic environment in Italy. The candidate GMPEs are obtained from a compiled list by Douglas (2015, http://www.gmpe.org.uk/) . Considering the many empirical GMMs available, the rejection criteria by Cotton et al. (2006) and Bommer et al. (2010) are applied. Fig. 2 - LLH scores against period for the models selected for ACRs: a) dataset All; b) dataset EC8-A; c) dataset MR; d) dataset After 2009. Lower LLHs indicate the best performing models. ITA10: Bindi et al. (2011); ASB14_Rjb and ASB14_Rhypo: Akkar et al. (2014); AB10: Akkar and Bommer (2010); BSSA14: Boore et al. (2014); BND14_Rjb_ EC8 and BND14_Rhypo_EC8: Bindi et al. (2014); KS15: Kuehn and Scherbaum (2015); DBC14: Derras et al. (2014); CZ15_800: Cauzzi et al. (2015); ZHA06: Zhao et al.
