GNGTS 2019 - Atti del 38° Convegno Nazionale
128 GNGTS 2019 S essione 1.1 activity of the faults. Moreover, Bigi et al. (2013) pointed out that the 2009 hypocenters of earthquakes in the Campotosto area does not have any superficial expression nor connection with Monte Gorzano Fault. Accordingly, the Campotosto linkage fault zone represent a deep seismogenic structure, that rules the seismic hazard in the area between the L’Aquila 2009 and Amatrice-Visso-Norcia 2016 earthquakes, and it is not necessarily connected with the superficial Monte Gorzano fault.
