343 GNGTS 2021 S essione 2.2 Conclusions The proposed model is simple, fast, taking into account the basic concepts of seismology, and gives a good fit with the target response spectrum even for a small number of simulations. The simulated accelerograms show a good match with the ground motion model prediction of several amplitude and frequency measures, such as Arias intensity, peak acceleration, peak velo- city, Fourier spectra, and response spectra. The results presented are specific for Italy, although the approach is general and can be adapted to other databases if predictive equations for Arias intensity and significant duration are available. Fig. 3- Comparison of the mean response spectra derived from twenty simulated accelerograms, with the spectra predicted by the GMM of Lanzano et al. (2019) for different: (a,b,c) magnitudes; (d,e,f) distances; (g,h,i) site conditions in case of a normal fault.
