GNGTS 2021 - Atti del 39° Convegno Nazionale

419 GNGTS 2021 S essione 3.2 The Atterberg Limits conducted on the 3 samples taken in pits, allowed to identify three different types of soil, as evidence of the anthropogenic nature of the same (reworked soils) (C in Fig. 3). Sample C1 Liquid Limit: 40.58% Plastic Limit: 31.63% Plasticity Index: 8.95% According to the Casagrande’s Plasticity Chart it corresponds to “medium compressibility silt” and according to the USCS classification this soil corresponds to ML. In accordance with the HRB Classification - A.A.S.H.T.O. - CNR-UNI-10006 standards the soil corresponds to A-5 with a group index of 8, that is to say a highly compressible loamy soil withmediumshrinkage/swelling properties. Sample C2 Liquid Limit: 30.70% Plastic Limit: 22.66% Plasticity Index: 8.04% Fig. 3 - Geotechnical tests: penetrometric test (A); laboratory tests: granulometric analysis (B), Atterberg Limits (C) and eodometric tests (D)
