The data were determined by means of a static accumulation chamber connected to a portable device (Ecoprobe 5) equipped with an Infra-red analyzer and a pump working at variable rates. Measurements were made based on a grid where the position of the measurement stations was denser in correspondence with the ERT profiles. The hourly and daily flux of CO 2 were determined by applying a well-established method. Results in Fig. 3 showed how noticeable higher fluxes (> 39 g m -2 d -1 ) are detected along two main directions which fit well with the hypothesized underlying geological structures.
