GNGTS 2023 - Atti del 41° Convegno Nazionale
Session 3.2 ___ GNGTS 2023 3) Methods for scaling point clouds without external frames and control points are successfully used based on polylines lengths comparison (Pesci et al., 2019); 4) Scaling errors are evaluated for registration scopes into external frames from Google Earth or other free platforms (Pesci et al., 2016); 5) Problems related to UAV acquisitions consisting in systematic errors are pointed out and somehow mitigated to achieve correct information in the frame of full-scale blast tests, where very fast and independent measurement are demanded (Pesci et al., 2018; 2022). This contribution aims to stimulate a constructive discussion and seek collaborators for this type of research. Fig.1 An approach for detecting significant surface variations based on estimated resolution limits (RL) from empirical experiments using especially deigned targets. The observation of a mountain slope throughout 1 year time span let the detection of some areas subjected by gravitative effects (Pesci et al., 2020).
