Session 1.2 GNGTS 2023 at different depths, the overpressure gradients can be either hydrostatic, as in the case of sandy-rich sequences or fractured carbonates, or non-hydrostatic, as in the case of shaly-rich sequences or gas-rich shales; (III) some of the overpressured sequences are confined by stratigraphic or tectonic seals. Furthermore, these results have been integrated into a broader conceptual framework, considering the regional geological setting, geochemical information (hydrocarbons, deep fluids, surface gas emissions, surface and deep waters) and borehole geothermal data. Finally, this step provided insights into some of the critical aspects mentioned above.
