GNGTS 2023 - Atti del 41° Convegno Nazionale
Session 1.2 - POSTER GNGTS 2023 aimed to reconstruct the electrical trend of buried geological bodies and to define the resistivity contrasts correlated to possible horizontal and vertical discontinuities, detecting the presence and geometries of lineaments structures and their possible relationships with fluid circulation. The ERT survey area falls within the perimeter of the Reconstruction Plan under preparation by the Campania Region, including the Casamicciola Municipality, particularly the most damaged zones during the August 21, 2017 earthquake. Previous large-scale multidisciplinary investigations contributed to the definition of its broad setting, but devoted detail-scale studies are currently lacking. The presented 2D resistivity sections detected significant electrical anomalies localized in the area. Our results allow an affordable geometrical reconstruction of the main structural lineaments characterizing the shallow substrate of the investigated area. Fig. 1 Map of the study area. Volcanological and structural evolution The island of Ischia is the emerged part of a large volcanic field that extends from Procida to the submarine volcanoes of off-shore Western Ischia (Sbrana and Toccaceli, 2011). Volcanism formed many relatively small volcanoes active since at least 150 ka (Vezzoli, 1988; deVita et al., 2006; 2010; Sbrana and Toccaceli, 2011). Intense explosive eruptions of very high magnitude lead to the
