GNGTS 2023 - Atti del 41° Convegno Nazionale
Session 2.2 GNGTS 2023 methodologies/technologies for monitoring, to foster a more efficient and sustainable use of data, products and services and to strengthen the bridge from research to final products while transversally enhancing the competences, technological transfer, and service integration. To achieve the project goals, RETURN is organized with a HUB&Spoke structure. In particular, the HUB (University of Naples Federico II) coordinates the activities of 8 spokes that collectively contribute to the achievement of the main project objectives. RETURN foresees the development of the research in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction DRR and Climate Change Adaptation CCA related to different geophysical and environmental hazards through 4 vertical spokes VSs (Flood/ Drought/Coastal flooding, Ground instabilities, Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Environmental degradation). These will be correlated to climate change research enhancement in a so-called diagonal spoke DS that is dedicated to Science underpinning climate services. The results obtained will feed and integrate the models developed in 3 transversal spokes TSs for different exposed elements (urban settlements, infrastructures, communities), where an overall vision for DDR/CCA will be built, in the respect to a shared methodological framework considering the risks interactions towards a resilient, ecological and sustainable transition. In detail the spokes are: - VS1: Water (lead by Politecnico di Milano and co-lead by Università di Padova) - VS2: Ground instabilities (lead by Università di Roma La Sapienza and co-lead by Università di Napoli Federico II) - VS3: Earthquakes and Volcanoes (lead by Università di Bari and co-lead by Università di Napoli Federico II) - VS4: Environmental Degradation (lead by OGS and co-lead by Università di Palermo) - TS1: Urban and metropolitan settlements (lead by Università di Napoli Federico II and co-lead by Eurac) - TS2: Multi-Risk Resilience of Critical Infrastructures (lead by Politecnico di Torino and co-lead by Engineering) - TS3: Communities’ resilience to risks: social, economic, legal and cultural dimensions (lead by Università di Firenze and co-lead by CIMA foundation) - DS: Science underpinning Climate services for risk mitigation and adaptation (lead by Università di Bologna and co-lead by Università di Padova)
