Session 2.2 GNGTS 2023 of connection between the overturning façade and the transverse walls; (c) in case of connection between the overturning façade and coplanar walls of the adjacent SUs; (d) in presence of both the types of connection. By comparing the obtained fragility curves, it can be observed a lower safety level (i.e. a greater fragility) in absence of connections with respect to the case where the connection with the transverse walls is considered. This suggests that one of the aspects to pay particular attention during the process of knowledge is the identification of the type of connection that characterizes the facade wall of the US under consideration. The proposed approach constitutes a practical tool to carry out large-scale vulnerability assessments of existing buildings in aggregate configuration. For its application, the presence of specific databases able to support the construction of reliable fragility curves, as that one developed within the CARTIS project (Zuccaro et al., 2015 - DPC/ReLUIS 2019-2021, DPC/ReLUIS 2022-2024), are of fundamental importance.
