GNGTS 2023 - Atti del 41° Convegno Nazionale
Session 1.1 GNGTS 2023 Our next steps will be applying the procedure back to 2005, improving the clipping detection procedure to reduce false negative and false positive cases and compare our results to those obtained with other existing similar procedures, calculating the M L for the forthcoming CARS (Catalog of the relative locations of the Italian seismicity 1981-2018), distribute the present amplitudes and magnitudes full catalog for any further use (e.g. different attenuation laws). Acknowledgments We thank M. Cattaneo, F. Bernardi, F.M. Mele, M. Quintiliani, INGV BSI Working Group This work received funds from the RISE (Real-time Earthquake Risk Reduction for a Resilient Europe) project under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (grant agreement No 821115). Fig.1: a) example of signal analysis, conversion to WA, and peak-to-peak maximum elongation measurement from the ML 3.2 / 2015-04- 29T14:21:28 UTC 3 km SE of (L’Aquila) earthquake; lmag approach is reported here; b) zoom on the resulting upward and downward peaks; c) distribution of the differences in peak-to-peak amplitude between lmag and swing .
