Session 3.1 GNGTS 2023 first break picks in a refraction tomography workflow and quantitively combined with surface wave data using simultaneous joint inversion (SJI) to derive a self-consistent earth model (Re et al., 2010). Moreover, when multi-geophysical data, such as gravity measurements, are available, SJI can further be leveraged to integrate these in the near-surface model, to ultimately generate a holistic representation of the near-seabed to further de-risk the installation of seabed infrastructures ( Figure 2 ).
