GNGTS 2024 - Atti del 42° Convegno Nazionale

Session 3.3 GNGTS 2024 sinusoidal fuctuaton of the apparent resistvity values during the tme and with decreasing magnitude with depth (Fig. 3, upper panels). This decreasing fuctuaton points out the efect of the temperature variaton on the external portons of the landfll, which vanish increasing the depth of analysis, as evident when comparing the apparent resistvity values and the temperature measured at the site (Fig 3, botom panels). The deeper portons of the landfll, despite the presence of more noise measurements, show more stable apparent resistvity values through tme, therefore less efect of the atmospheric temperature trends. Time-lapse inversions with modelling of temperture efect show much smaller resistvity variatons throughout the entre monitoring, showing the improvement of the tme-lapse scheme proposed in this study. Figure 2. Comparison of standard resistvity inversion (botom panel) and tme-lapse inversion with modelling of thermal difusivity (top panel).
