Session 1.1 GNGTS 2024 What is in the INGV ISIDe online database before 16 April 2005? B. Lolli 1* , G. Vannucci 1 and P. Gasperini 2,1 1 Isttuto Nazionale di Geofsica e Vulcanologia, Sezione di Bologna 2 Dipartmento di Fisica e Astronomia, Università di Bologna Abstract The Italian Seismological Instrumental and Parametric Data-Base (ISIDe) is the recipient of earthquake data collected in real tme by the Isttuto Nazionale di Geofsica e Vulcanologia (INGV). When it went online, following a signifcant improvement of the seismic acquisiton system of INGV, it was including only data since the second fortnight of April 2005. About ten years later, the data since the beginning of 1985 suddenly appeared without any other notce than the updatng of the startng date of the dataset. However, the characteristcs of the added data appeared clearly diferent from the following period both in terms of numbers of located earthquakes and of types of magnitudes provided. Afer having analyzed the numerical consistency and the calibraton of magnitudes of ISIDe as a functon of tme from 1985 to 15 April 2005, we can say that such dataset is incomplete and poorly calibrated with respect to other catalogs of Italian seismicity (CSTI, CSI and HORUS) available for the same period. Hence, we suggest not to use it as it is for statstcal analyses of Italian seismicity. However, it provides some magnitudes which are missed by other catalogs and thus might be used for improving such catalogs. * Corresponding author: barbara.lolli@ingv.it
