GNGTS 2024 - Atti del 42° Convegno Nazionale
Session 2.3 GNGTS 2024 actvites and serious games are the main tools used to engage with the public. The fndings also show the growing importance of social media to reach diferent audiences, provide tmely and actonable informaton in tmes of crisis and engage citzens. Furthermore, communicaton about seismic risks is practsed in diferent ways in diferent countries. As with any review study, we recognise that the results and their interpretatons apply only in the context of the selected scientfc literature, which does not include grey literature and documents in languages other than English. Nevertheless, we believe that the main features we have identfed provide an interestng overview of the topic and can serve as a reference for future studies. The future agenda for seismic risk communicaton should focus on building trust with the public, tailoring communicaton to their needs and moving towards a three-way model of seismic risk communicaton that engages stakeholders from diferent sectors - academia, business, government and civil society — for the common goal of earthquake safety and seismic resilience.
