GNGTS 2024 - Atti del 42° Convegno Nazionale
Session 3.1 GNGTS 2024 GNGTS 2024 APPLIED GEOPHYSICS FOR ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES Session 3.1 Energy transiton and resources Convenors of the session:
Michela Giustniani – mgiustniani@ogs.it
Paolo Mazzucchelli – paolo.mazzucchelli@aresys.it
Vincenzo Lipari – vlipari@ogs.it Contributons recommended for this session: ● Innovatve geophysical technologies; ● Integraton of geophysical methods; ● Petrophysical characterizaton of the subsurface; ● Geophysical data processing; ● Geophysical borehole logging; ● Geophysics to characterize georesources (i.e., Oil & gas, mining, geothermal, water); ● Geophysics for reaching the net zero carbon (i.e., CCS, hydrogen storage); ● Artfcial intelligence techniques applied to Geophysics; ● Natural Hazard; ● Case studies. Geophysical prospectng is widely used to both identfy and store natural resources underground.
Diferent investgaton techniques characterize the subsurface with diferent resolutons and at
diferent depths, such as refecton and refracton seismic, gravimetric, magnetc, electrical methods.
These technologies and tools also contribute to the mix of strategies to address anthropogenic CO2 emissions and to achieve net-zero carbon emissions goals.
The session welcomes contributons that illustrate methodological innovatons, processing methods, case studies and applicatons in the felds of exploraton of georesources, as well as in the feld of resource and greenhouse gas storage.
